My government's response to Covid-19 and other crises
I was told to practice running out of my school if I was being shot at. I practiced weighing risks. My government protected the shooters' rights to guns, not my right to life.
I was told to dress conservatively and fight back to protect myself from assaults. My government said people like me were attention-seeking liars.
We were told not to touch our faces. It was too late for many.
We were told to wear masks. It was too late for many.
When they got to take a test, it was too late for many.
Our president declared an emergency. It was too late for many.
We told to trust our government. It was too late for us.
